Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
This privacy policy explains how AI for Your Day ("we," "us," "this site," located at aiforyourday.com) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit the site, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us.
By using this site or subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or provide your information.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Email address (newsletter) — when you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We may also collect your name if you choose to provide it.
- Email correspondence — if you email us at help@aiforyourday.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Form submissions — any information you submit through forms on the site (currently limited to newsletter signups).
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Aggregate analytics — page views, country (derived from IP), browser type, referring website, time spent on page, and similar non-identifying technical information.
- IP address — automatically logged by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) as part of routing your request, used for anti-abuse purposes and not retained for marketing.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4 below.
1.3 Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment information, or government IDs.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (see Section 8).
- We do not buy email lists or scrape contact information.
- We do not use behavioral tracking, fingerprinting, or persistent advertising IDs.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Send the newsletter you subscribed to — delivering articles, updates, and occasional related communications you opted into.
- Respond to your inquiries — replying to emails you send us.
- Improve the site — understanding aggregate readership patterns to make content more useful (e.g., which articles are popular, where readers come from).
- Protect against abuse — detecting and preventing spam, scraping, denial-of-service, and other malicious activity.
- Comply with legal obligations — when required by law or regulation.
We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, profile-building, or any purpose not listed above.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only as described below:
3.1 Service providers (data processors)
We use third-party services to operate the site and newsletter. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies and data-processing agreements:
- Beehiiv — our newsletter service. Stores your email address and sends newsletters on our behalf. Beehiiv's privacy policy: beehiiv.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, content delivery, security, web analytics, and email forwarding. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate site traffic (page views,
referrers, country, device type) so we can understand which content is useful and
improve the site over time. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically
_gaand_ga_*) and may collect a hashed/truncated form of your IP address. We have IP anonymization enabled, so your full IP is never stored. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. - Affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the destination service or affiliate network (e.g., Amazon Associates, Impact, PartnerStack) records that the click came from us. This is so we can be credited if you make a purchase. They do not receive your email or any other identifying info from us — just the click event and any cookies they set on your browser.
3.2 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, government request) or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
3.3 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you of any such change.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cloudflare Web Analytics — our primary analytics service is privacy-respecting and does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or persistent identifiers.
Google Analytics 4 — runs alongside Cloudflare Analytics for more
detailed reporting. Google Analytics does set cookies (typically named
_ga and _ga_*) that are used to distinguish unique visitors and
recognize returning ones. These cookies do not contain personal information; they store an
anonymous identifier. We have IP anonymization enabled so your full IP is never stored. You
can opt out of Google Analytics across the entire web by installing the official
Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on,
or by clearing/blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings.
Affiliate link cookies — when you click an affiliate link on this site, the destination site (Amazon, etc.) or its affiliate network may set a cookie on your browser to track whether you make a purchase. These cookies are set by the third party, not us, and are governed by their privacy policies. You can clear them in your browser settings.
Newsletter open tracking — if you open our newsletter, our email service (Beehiiv) may use a small invisible image (a "tracking pixel") to record that the email was opened. This is industry-standard. You can disable image loading in your email client to prevent this.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information.
5.1 If you are in the European Union, UK, or European Economic Area (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction — ask us to stop processing your data in certain circumstances.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to certain types of processing.
- Withdraw consent — for the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, or by emailing us. This withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority if you believe we are not handling your data properly.
Lawful basis for processing — we rely on consent (newsletter signup) and legitimate interests (operating the site, security, basic analytics).
5.2 If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the third parties with whom we share it (described in this policy).
- Delete personal information we have about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Categories of personal information collected (CCPA categories): identifiers (email address), internet activity (page views, referrer), inferences (none).
5.3 How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, email help@aiforyourday.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days for GDPR requests and 45 days for CCPA requests. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
6. Data retention
- Newsletter subscribers — we retain your email address for as long as you are subscribed plus a reasonable period after unsubscribe (typically 90 days, for suppression-list purposes — to prevent accidentally re-emailing you).
- Email correspondence — we keep emails you send us for as long as necessary to address your inquiry, plus a reasonable archival period.
- Aggregate analytics — retained indefinitely in anonymized form (cannot be linked to you).
- Server logs — typically retained for 30-90 days for security purposes.
You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 5.3).
7. International data transfers
Our service providers (Beehiiv, Cloudflare, Google Analytics) operate in the United States and may transfer, store, and process data there. By using this site or subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection standards than your country of residence.
For data subjects in the European Economic Area, we rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved safeguards for international transfers.
8. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in some EU jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures (HTTPS, secure third-party services, minimal data collection) to protect information. However, no internet transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-party links
The site contains links to third-party websites (tools we recommend, affiliate destinations, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Read their privacy policies before providing any information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was most recently revised. Material changes affecting how we handle your data will be communicated via the newsletter or a notice on the site.
